Brenda and Al's Enchanting Viking-Country Summer Wedding at Cecil Creek Farms

Brenda and Al's love story reached new heights during their country Summer wedding at Cecil Creek Farms in Mickleton, NJ. This unique celebration flawlessly blended elements of Viking heritage with the rustic charm of rural South Jersey. From their love for mead wine to the heartwarming hand sowing ceremony involving their children, the day was filled with love, laughter, and memorable moments.

Set against the picturesque backdrop of Cecil Creek Farms, Brenda and Al found the ideal setting to merge their Viking heritage with a rustic country atmosphere. The farm's idyllic landscapes, lush greenery, and the cutest farm animals perfectly complemented the couple's vision for their special day. Guests took a hayride from the main barn at the front of the venue, back to the ceremony location, past the goats and the horses. They ended up at a small fenced in circle where the two would be wed.

As lovers of tradition and Viking culture, Brenda and Al chose their favorite mead wine to toast their commitment. Mead, an ancient alcoholic beverage made from fermented honey, symbolizes love, fertility, and prosperity. The story of mead wine and it's relation to weddings is pretty cool.

Among the various rituals that they incorporated, the hand fasting ceremony was a particular standout. This ancient Viking practice is a symbolic representation of the couple's commitment to each other. In this ritual, a cord made of intricate knots representing the couple's bond is tied around their bound hands, and they make vows to each other. Brenda and Al took it a step further by having their children placing a cord over their hands, signifying the weaving of their families together.

As the sun dipped beneath the horizon and the night enfolded the celebration, Brenda and Al took to the dance floor for their highly anticipated first dance. Brenda and Al's first dance was undoubtedly the highlight of the evening and left a lasting impression on everyone present. As the opening chords of Lady Gaga's "Always Remember Us This Way" from A Star is Born played, Brenda and Al took to the dance floor in a moment of pure magic. The song's tender melody and heartfelt lyrics perfectly encapsulated the emotion and passion between them, as they shared a connection that transcended time and space.
